Your Firefly Magic^® Firefly Lights have been designed and manufactured to work reliably in most all climates year around. However, common sense will insure your 'Fireflies' last for many years of enjoyment.

Please review the following suggestions

Firefly Magic^® Firefly Lights will operate effectively in temperatures from 5°F to 120°F (-15C to 50C).

However, as with any product, common sense should be used when determining if your 'Fireflies' should be left out year around.

The Solar Panel Assembly should not be subject to extremely wet conditions followed by freezing temperatures as ice may form, creating stress cracks and breaking the unit.

Although the unit has 'weep' holes to allow moisture to escape, the Solar Panel Assembly must never be submerged or placed in a stream of water, either from a hose or water runoff, as this will allow a significant amount of water to enter the housing and damage the electrical components.

Particularly in harsh winter climates its recommended that the 'Fireflies' be brought indoors. This is because very low temperatures cause plastic and plastic covered wires to become brittle with the possibility of cracking or breaking.
